Loopmasters releases Re:Produce 4 Kazell and Re:Produce 5 Absence of Essence

Loopmasters has released two new titles in the Re:Produce Series.

Re:Produce 4 Kazell

Kevin Bazell (better known as Kazell) is a British DJ and producer who is now based in Los Angeles. He has released music on well-regarded labels like Alternative Route, Audio Therapy, Bedrock, Perfecto and Lost Language, and his productions have been featured on compilations by renowned DJs like Sander Kleinenberg and Nick Warren.

Aside from a busy DJ schedule – which has included touring with Sasha and Digweed across North America – Kazell also holds down a label residency for his Influx-Audio imprint at the LA superclub “Avalon”. As a producer, Kazell consults for software giant Native Instruments. He also recently delved into sound design by working alongside the legendary film composer Harry Gregson Williams to add his own unique twist to the sound of the Disney blockbuster “Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian”.

Kazell has engineered his re:produce pack to offer a unique look into his world of production.
An additional five Native Instruments “Massive” patches presets have been bundled with the pack. These are custom and exclusive patches that allow for flexible control. All the sounds were recorded using Logic, with the samples sourced from both the analogue and digital realm. His custom synth samples were programmed on Native Instruments “Massive”.

“Its great to build a track from the ground up synthesizing every element but for most of us that’s just not realistic. With this pack I wanted to share some of the custom building blocks I reach for when starting a new track. I tend to write these types of parts when I’m in between projects and keep them as flexible and open ended as possible. I hope you enjoy this sample pack.” -Kazell

Re:Produce 5 Absence of Essence

Absence of Essence (AOE) is the Atlanta-based production trio consisting of Darius Kohanim, Knix, and Dee Washington. These artists are collectively responsible for releases on labels like Lobotomy Records, Audio Therapy, Proton Music, AlterImage Recordings, Influx Audio, Hunya Munya, and Emote Music. AOE has worked alongside, and seen their tracks remixed by, the likes of Pig & Dan, Habersham, and a host of other top-tier producers. The AOE members share a passion for the technical aspects of their craft and for the creation of forward-thinking electronic music.

AOE’s re:produce 005 sample pack is the cutting-edge product of three creatively warped minds. This collection is filled with intense, twisted sound effects, rhythmical noise and synth loops, mangled vox effects, and wicked drum patterns with dirty techno undertones. Most of the samples were recorded at 126 bpm, and they are all ready for use in Ableton Live. AOE designed these unique signature sounds using Logic, Cubase, Native Instruments, and several other audio production tools.

Loopmasters releases Danny Thompson Double Bass

Loopmasters has released Danny Thompson Double Bass, a sample library featuring Danny Thompson, one of the world’s leading Double Bass players.

Danny’s dedication to the double bass has given him a rich tapestry of musical knowledge, which meant that he was in a unique position to record this collection of exquisite and versatile loops and samples for you to use in your musical productions, royalty free. The collection features Danny’s inimitable playing style and sound throughout – a much sought after commodity.

Danny has recorded this collection with his bass, Victoria, which was made by the French maker Gand in 1865. For Danny she is invaluable and will never be out of his life. “Yeah, my absolute beloved. I’ve tried other instruments but we come as a pair, a partnership. I know every crack, every splinter on her body.” Danny and Victoria were recorded using Neumann U47 and KM84 microphones, through a Focusrite IS A430 Mic-pre and a RCA Valve mic-pre. A little of the pickup sound was mixed in – just for seasoning and some very subtle compression was added using a Neve 33609 and a little EQ from a Neve 1073.
