How to stop stutter and lag while using a motif 6 keyboard midi to fruity loops?

Sunday, April 29th, 2012

Question by bigtruckdude: How to stop stutter and lag while using a motif 6 keyboard midi to fruity loops?
Okay i’ve adjusted the buffer and it still does not correct the problem. I’m using a Toshiba laptop and I don’t know if I need a better sound card or what? If anyone has any suggestions or tips please feel free to reply. Thank you kindly.

Best answer:

Answer by rekkerd
How’s the CPU meter? Is it maxing out when it’s stuttering?
If so, and increasing the buffer doesn’t work then perhaps your laptop is an older model (not fast enough).

Using an external ASIO audio device should work much better than onboard DirectX soundcards, but I can’t guarantee it will solve the stuttering if you’re laptop just doesn’t have enough juice.

Q&A: In Fruity Loops, how do you play and record different patterns together?

Friday, April 27th, 2012

Question by shadeOfsilver: In Fruity Loops, how do you play and record different patterns together?
I’ve been trying to figure out how to use it on my own since I can’t afford to buy it yet. I have the demo version. I understand basically how to write a part of a song but I don’t know how to make seperate patterns and then put them together. I can’t find that in the help section.

Best answer:

Answer by Max Wells
When you made your 1st pattern, move your mouse up and near TEMPO counter you can find PAT. This is a pattern changer. Change 1 to 2 or else number what you want. Now you can work with the next pattern. To listen some patterns together you must open PLAYLIST window (PL button at the top right corner) and draw on it few squares for each patterns you made.

“What sounds does Basshunter use on Fruity Loops?”?

Thursday, April 26th, 2012

Question by Anonymous: “What sounds does Basshunter use on Fruity Loops?”?
My friend is asking this. Fruity Loops is a program that lets you generate music. Does anyone know what kinds of sounds Basshunter uses by any chance? Any help is appreciated.

Best answer:

Answer by Adam T
Despite Basshunter’s tracks being a pile of c**p he wouldnt use a computer program like that to make his tracks. He would go to a studio which would have thousands of £’s worth of equipment for him to use to make his tracks.

Thats why Basshunter is so pathetic….even with tons of expensive equipment to use, his tracks still sound rubbish like a 5 year old made them!

I want to make music with Fruity Loops?

Wednesday, April 25th, 2012

Question by Kade: I want to make music with Fruity Loops?
Hi. There’s this song that I have (not my own song) that would sound awesome with an introduction. I really want to make one for it. Here’s my question: can you make music with Fruity Loops? I downloaded their trial version but it’s so confusing I don’t know how to work it and their tutorials suck. If I can make music, can I make it so it has an Arabian sound to it? Also, can you tell me a good site for tutorials? Thanks.

Best answer:

Answer by ryan_stormboy
Hey mate,
i was in the same boat not long ago. Fruity loops is not a good program for first time music makers. I found another one called garage band and its so much more simpler and the tutorials are awesome for it. I’d scrap fruity loops all together and get your hands on garage band,
best of luck
-Ryan

Q&A: How do people create music beats? for example with Fruity Loops or Sony Acid?

Tuesday, April 24th, 2012

Question by : How do people create music beats? for example with Fruity Loops or Sony Acid?
Like, when you are using Fruit Loops or Sony Acid, do they come with a lot of .wav music files that are all different drum beats, and little sound loops and you just stick ‘em in and start looping, or do you have to download all your different music pieces somewhere else? If so, where can you get them?

Best answer:

Answer by TaintedJ
been a while since i messed with that, but there used to be sample packs that would float around the nets, different drums, different guitars, etc. Learning music theory doesn’t hurt, but you can check out some instructionals on youtube.
