If you don’t know the name please name similar software that lets you be a laptop DJ. Like Fruityloops– thats the only name I could think of.

Hi im looking for some software that is cheap or free that i can start making hip hop style beats with. I currently use the demo version of Fruity loops version 8 but it doesn’t let me save my work and it has bad sound sets. So can any one tell me a program or programs that can do all that fl studios can do and some good sound set downloads would be nice cause i dont mind paying for those? thnx

I don’t understand FL studio can make real music. Its used in alot of major productions. Cubase Pro and Reason are the top choices for trance. Never used Cakewalk but i know FL studio XXL Producer is alot better then Cakewalk.

Specifically EDM, primarily dubstep. I am into the EDM music so I have decided to try to produce some of my own. The only problem is that I do not know which program I should go with. I have messed around on the tutorial of FL Studio some but other than that I am very inexperienced. I’ve also heard of Ableton Live and Reason, but I have no idea which one I should use. Keep in mind that I will be using it for dubstep mostly. Thanks

All three you mention work fine for doing dubstep music. I prefer FL Studio Producer Edition as it works best for me, I love the work flow and you can use (free) VST instruments with it to get pretty much any sound you want. Ableton Live and Reason are great programs too (although Reason is a closed system and won’t allow you to use VST instruments) so try the demo versions of those as well and see what you like best.
Whatever you pick you will be able to create high quality dubstep music with that.

No such good software are awailable for free on direct download, as they require serial, but if you want them you have two other ways.
1) if u know the name of software:- then just type the google search for ” MEDIA FRIE LINK or RAPIDSHARE LINK FOR SOFTWARE (NAME). u will get it for direct download.
2) if you don’t know the name than goto- http://thepiratebay.org/ and search for it you will get the torrent with serial keys.
There u go now you can download the torrent by any software like- u torrent, bit torrent, azureus.
All these are free and small sized ok.
So enjoy.

My external hard drive crashed and I have been trying to find a program to recover files. I used one to recover some mp3s, however, some of the mp3s are not fully recovered. The recovery program I used also did not deal with Cubase files.

I’m wanting to get into some remixing and possibly creating my own tracks eventually. What programs are good to use to get started? I’ve heard Cubase, Reason, and Ableton. Or if there is a cheap starter program that would be better to test the waters with I’m open for suggestions. I tell you man, Tracktion 3.0 is really great. I know it isn’t one of your choices, but I strongly suggest you download a demo and try it out. For my money, it beats ProTools, Cakewalk, Abelton Live, hands down. Try the demo and see.
